Agent System 1 (AS1) is a Real-time Search intelligent agent Open Application. You program AS1 to search the real-time web, (e.g., Twitter, tweets, Facebook updates, etc.). Although completely transparent to the end-user, AS1 actually uses six separate scripts written in two different programming languages - served from two different Web servers! However, even though the components which comprise the application are disparate and heterogeneous, as you will see, the user experience is exactly the same and completely cohesive as if the application were written in a single programming language, as one script, coming from a single Web server. This is the power of the Open Platform as a ServiceTM. Developers are now free to use whichever tools, languages, databases, OS's, servers, etc. they want to build applications and systems the best way they see fit, while keeping the end user experience completely transparent! |
AS1 Real-time Search Details In order to demonstrate what Open Platform as a ServiceTM can do, we needed a non-trivial application. AS1 will search one or more Web sites for exactly what you want, when you want and email you when it finds what you are looking for! With advanced cron scheduling, multiple site search, multiple keyword/phrase search, user-definable email notification and much more, AS1 makes personalized real-time search a reality. You no longer have to wait for Google (or any other search engine) to update it's index. For example, you can now program AS1 to search just your friends Facebook or tweets! AS1 searches the real time Web on a personalized basis quite well, but that is just the beginning. AS1 is a non-trivial application which will give you an idea of the unlimited power and flexibility of the Open Platform as a ServiceTM, but will also become a full-fledged real-time search service with no parallel. Soon, we will also demonstrate AS1 implemented as another type of Open Application which shares the same codebase, yet delivers different user experience requirements in an open, powerful way. We will also create some real time search templates which will demonstrate real-world useful applications which will save you time and money. Finally, we are creating a full fledged real time search engine which will search the real time web while implementing an advertiser driven business model for a next generation personal search ecosystem to demonstrate just how elaborate, yet simple and powerful Open Platform as a ServiceTM is. |
